Now I'm not usually a fan of pine-topped tables, but this one I could not resist! With a generous 1200cm diameter, it's an ideal size for seating up to six people comfortably. It has a good 40mm thick round top with interesting graining, the knots are small and make an interesting surface (on a lot of the cheaper mass produced tables, you might see big ugly knots).
The base is a tripod base with really sexy cabriole style legs and curled up toes! The person who made this gave it a great deal of thought.
It stands in my warehouse in its original condition, but we will wash everything off with warm soapy liquid and then wax up the base (which is a lovely mellow golden colour). We can leave the top just bleached out or we could also wax that up as well, it just depends on what you say.
