Description

This tapestry depicts the biblical scene of Abraham's sacrifice of Isaac and was hand stitched in 1852 by 12 year old, Eliza Caldecutt. The quality of the needle work is excellent, especially when considered it was done by a 12 year old. It is in original condition with a lovely patina. The ornate plasterwork frame has some pieces missing, with cracks here and there, but overall is in great condition especially when you consider it is nearly 170 years old.

We will clean the glass otherwise sold in existing condition.
