For us this was the most fantastic order because it came at a time when a lot of businesses so closely connected to the hospitality industry were feeling very low. We will be forever grateful to Alex Reilly of Loungers for placing this order! The remit was the following: 'can you come up with a design for social distancing screens we can put in our restaurants? When covid-19 is a thing of the past, we still want to be able to use them as a permanent fixture'. The design we came up with was based on a very classic looking piece of panelling with four small panels across the top and four oblong panels below. We put very sturdy feet to the bottom so that they could not be pushed over easily. We then patinated and distressed them in our workshop, finishing them in either a golden or medium oak finish. They are delighted.
