Fantastic Quality Late Victorian 6m Extending Dining table by Hewetson, Milner and Thexton Ltd.
This is a fantastic extending table made by renowned Victorian cabinet makers, Hewetson, Milner and Thexton Ltd of Tottenham Court Road, London. Due to the size of this table it has been made with winders on both sides and the mechanism for extending is of the highest craftsmanship. Made from solid oak it comes with 7 leaves, and it measures over 6m long when fully extended, making this a 22-seater table! It stands on four well carved legs, which sit on the original castors.
We will put it through our workshop and into the hands of our skilled cabinet makers here at Taylors, and it will be sympathetically restored back to its former glory. It would make a wonderful banqueting table in a hall or would be an ideal dining table for a private dining room.
