Description

A fantastic set of eight late 19th-century oak dining chairs.

Probably made by Gillows of Lancaster, therefore a must as a Martin's favourite. I would definitely have these around my dining table.

As you've probably worked out, I don't generally buy dining room chairs that don't have side stretchers because I feel they are very necessary to give the chair more strength and stability. But I made an exception with these eight chairs because I just feel they are such superb quality.

They are a very unusual but striking design. We can remove the castors and sympathetically dowel and polish small extensions to the bottom of the front feet if you require (stops the marking of the floor).

Please check out the lovely detail on the back and front legs. They have high backs with a small upholstered pads for extra comfort, so that you can spend that little bit of extra time around the dining table.
