We took this off an expensive small sideboard (because the client wanted the sideboard to be backless). It has been checked over, waxed and if I say it myself it looks great, the pediment is so well carved! It has a small shelf for the trinkets or a clock. It would be brilliant over a fireplace with the side brackets sitting on a mantlepiece.
