There’s not a lot I can say about this sideboard... apart from the fact it is absolutely ‘top of the tree’ quality. The carving, the bevelled mirrors, the bevelled panes of glass in the doors, the handles, the proportions... everything about this sideboard smacks of top quality!
The date of the sideboard is between 1895 and 1905 and I would suggest it was probably made in the north of England in one of the very wealthy cities of the time, Liverpool, Sheffield, Leeds or Newcastle.
All you need is a big wall and a big room and how imposing and impressive would this be?!
We will check it over, wax it up before it leaves our warehouse in Stafford and you will also need a gang of people to lift... boy is it heavy! But always a sign of quality!
